This position is a union position with New Jersey American Water and the starting pay rate is $33.21 per hour.

 

This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth. Work Schedule:Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m.to 4:00 p.m.

Primary Role

The Operations Representative I must possess a general understanding of water utility field operations and a working knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and safety practices, as well as federal, state, and local regulations applicable to area of responsibility.

The individual must be detail-oriented and capable of preparing accurate records and documents.

The Operations Representative I must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be capable of operating a computer keyboard with speed and accuracy.

 

Key Accountabilities

• Complete Costs Analysis.

• Record and monitor investment and maintenance budget expenses.

• Process mark-out requests in accord with Underground Facility Mark-Out Program.

• Update distribution system maps.

• Maintain database related to the entry of statistical data regarding the operation of the transmission and distribution system in addition to departmental records.

• Prepare and schedule service line installations and replacements.

• Prepare correspondence and documents.

• Respond to inquiries accurately and professionally and, when necessary, involve the appropriate individuals to resolve customer and Company-related issues and to achieve the highest level of customer service in all areas of assigned responsibility.
