Primary Role
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the duties necessary to maintain and ensure reliable operations of the Interurban Production facilities.
Key Accountabilities
- This position is responsible for the receiving and testing of chemical deliveries, general maintenance duties of the treatment facilities and outlying stations, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned by management.
- The relief system operator duties involve managing pumping and filter operations including filter washing and any additional filter treatment that may be required.
- This also includes the management of outlying stations regarding pumpage, tank levels, pressure requirements and any other duties as assigned by management.
Shifts/Hours
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM and High Service Operator relief duties as required or assigned. (Note: changes in hours may become necessary for continued operation)
Experience/Education
- High school degree/GED required.
- 0-2 years in water industry.
Certification
- Water Treatment Class C license required after 2 years in position; Class A license required after 4 years in position.
- Valid drivers license required and ability to pass a motor vehicle check. Class C driver's license and D.O.T. medical card required within 30 days of being awarded position.
Skills
- Strong work ethic, time management, communication, and organizational and team membership skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good mechanical skills.
- Position requires the ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Computer literacy required.
