This position is a union position with Missouri American Water and the starting pay rate is $34.00 per hour.
This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth. Work Schedule: Wed/Thur/Fri/Sat/Sun 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Weekend position. OT opportunity.

Primary Role
Performs those jobs necessary for the care and maintenance of such mechanical equipment, buildings, property, and facilities as are in use at the Missouri American Water Company. In addition, the duties include fabrication and construction of such equipment and facilities as may be required in water utility operation.
Key Accountabilities
Performs electric wiring and motor care. Assembles and repairs electric motors, installs conduit and wiring, traces electrical troubles, performs care of relays, remote control and similar auxiliary control equipment. Performs instrument and control activities. Installs, maintains, and services calibration of pneumatic, hydraulic and electric controls and instruments. Performs pipe fittings, pipe laying, boiler and heating plant maintenance. Installs, repairs, and performs care of valves, fittings and pipes, including screwed, sweat, flanged, bell and spigot, mechanical joints, for both large and small pipe. Handles large pipe, cast iron, concrete, steel, or any other material. Performs welding activities. Performs acetylene and electric welding, soldering, brazing and cutting. Performs equipment maintenance. Performs maintenance and repair of minor air conditioning.
Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of electric wiring and motor care, instrument and control, pipe fitting, pipe laying, boiler and heating plant maintenance, welding, and equipment maintenance.
Experience/Education
High school diploma or equivalent
