Primary Role

Assists the maintenance person and Relief Plant Operator.

Key Accountabilities

• Assists the maintenance person or performs the following duties: maintenance on motors, pumps, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, mixing and sedimentation basin equipment, filters, intakes, wells, valves, control/monitoring equipment, building, grounds, and other related equipment.
• Operates water treatment facilities, pumping facilities and other related facilities.
• Operates all pumps, motors, screens, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, settling tanks, control systems, laboratory equipment, and valves.
• Makes water treatment control tests and calculations necessary to control the water treatment and pumpage of the facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills

• Must have a working knowledge of all tools used in maintaining all related plant equipment.
• Since this classification also has operating duties, must have a working knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and hydraulics.

The shift for this position is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30a-3:30p.
