Job Description: 

Primary Role

Works in direct coordination with the Operations Manager to oversee a team of maintenance staff ensuring facilities and equipment are maintained, while also managing budgets, implementing safety protocols, and ensuring compliance with regulations. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise the maintenance team (mechanical, electrical and instrumentation).
  • Coordinate repair, preventive and corrective maintenance activities, contract compliance, regular inspection and calibration activities with staff, vendors, subcontractors.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance activities, including repairs and new installs
  • Document maintenance activities and maintain records utilizing CMMS prioritizing, coordination and direction of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and repair activities,
  • Manage and track maintenance projects, ensuring they stay on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, compliance reports, and equipment logs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment for all employees.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Effective people management skills e.g., planning, organizing, recruiting, controlling and leading individual staff and teams.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills (e.g., report writing, listening, and presentation).
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, persuasion, team building, cooperation, leadership, ability to motivate others.
  • Understanding of water conveyance processes and hydraulics
  • Awareness of local, state, and federal regulations governing water, including environmental and safety standards.

Experience/Education

  • 5+ years’ experience in the water treatment industry.
  • Experience with various types and sizes of motors and pumps, 3 phase high voltage motor controls, electrical construction, instrumentation, computer controls, SCADA, CMMS, PLC’s, VFD’s, ladder logic, and power distribution maintenance

Certifications/Licenses

  • Valid state driver’s license
  • West Virginia Operator Certification Class III or IV preferred
  • Certified Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site
  • Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
  • On-call responsibility 

Work Environment

  • Standard indoor office and outside field environment.
  • Will be working in adverse weather conditions such as excessive heat, dust and dirt.   
  • While supervising staff, this role will be required to travel, visit and inspect all necessary facilities.
