Key Accountabilities
Under the direction of the Manager of External Affairs and Specialist of External Affairs:
- Represent American Water at community events and outreach programs.
- Implementing event planning plans based on community feedback and business needs.
- Present before small and large groups within the community (schools, community organizations etc.).
- Provide photography and content related to events for customer facing outlets (internet, social media, newsletters, etc.).
- Contribute to social media content generation
- Coordinate activities for events to include working with vendors, community partners, and employees.
- Identify volunteerism needs and coordinate scheduling volunteers to work various community events.

Experience/Education
- Enrollment in a Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, undergraduate degree program, or a relevant program from an accredited school.
- Minimum of 1 year of completed coursework.

Compensation Data
The base salary range represents a good faith salary range for this position. The expected pay range for this position is between $18.00 per hour and $28.00 per hour. If you are hired at American Water your compensation will be determined based on factors such as market, geography, skills, candidate's program year, discipline, and degree.
