Position Information
Posted Range: $38.65/h
This position may be eligible for annual incentive pay and contracted increases as determined by the collective bargaining agreement, and you will have the opportunity for continued salary growth.

Primary Role
The Booster Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including maintenance and repair of high service and low service related equipment.
This position is a 24/7 position. Shifts are Monday through Friday either 7:30a-5:30p or 8a-4:30p.
Key Accountabilities
The Booster Maintenance Technician performs all functions of the position in a safe and conscientious manner, with constant regard for the safety of fellow employees and the general public.
- Erects barricades and places safety lights around work sites to protect workers from street traffic; may flag traffic as required. Ensure sites are secure before leaving.
- Performs inspections and preventative maintenance of all booster stations, PRVs, tank equipment, and sires.
- Makes necessary repair of booster pumps and related equipment to include chemical feeders.
- Troubleshoots, programs, and repairs electrical, SCADA, communication equipment, and other pumping equipment.
Knowledge/Skills
- Must possess basic geographical knowledge of company's service area.
- Must be adaptable to variations in topography and weather conditions.
- Working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety practices as well as regulations regarding confined spaces.
- Must have knowledge of and comply with OSHA's Lockout/Tagout standard for all stored energy sources.
Experience/Education
- High School Diploma OR GED
- Must have a valid drivers license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle check.
- Must maintain DOT certification
- Must have and maintain a valid electricians license, welding and machining experience desires.
- Must successfully pass Class 1-D Water Treatment Plant Operators Certification exam within 1 year of hire.
- 5-7 years of experience with maintenance of pumping stations, electrical, and mechanical equipment and systems.
- Experience with PLC/SCADA controlled systems desired.
Other
- This role is both an indoor and outdoor work environment.
- Overtime is required. Must be available for emergency call outs.
- Physical demnds of the position include bending, stooping, crawling, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Pulminary function test is required.
