Primary Role
Responsible for management of price development and modeling for potential business opportunities and the continuous review, analysis and evaluation of MSG business and operational data. As directed by the Operations Manager, the Sr. Analyst also serves to provide oversight to various programs/activities within MSG, including J-40 analysis, system inventory analysis, market costs trending / analysis and insurance requirements analysis.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage pricing development, J-40 analysis and cost and financial modeling for all potential MSG business opportunities.
- Lead the end-to-end preparation of price adjustment proposals for existing MSG contracts by the scheduled deadlines (Price Redeterminations, Economic Price Adjustments, Inventory Adjustments, etc.).
- Prepare the responses to Government negotiation messages for price adjustment proposals.
- Assist MSG management in maximizing the business and operational performance of the business by collecting, analyzing and evaluating MSG financial and operational data; analyzing performance problems at existing contracts and developing solutions; and ensuring the integrity of pricing for new bids and price adjustment proposals for existing contracts.
- Develop and continuously refine MSG O&M metrics to effectively manage operating expenses of existing contracts and improve competitiveness of bids for new business.
- Support MSG budget development and management by participating in the operational budgeting and planning process and working with Utility Managers to identify and address budget issues.
- Analyze system inventory, market costs trends and contract insurance requirements in support of existing contracts and new bid development.

Knowledge/Skills
- Strong Financial analysis skill, including budget management and financial modeling.
- Strong interpersonal skills (tact/diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation and ability to motivate others). Ability to effectively interact with colleagues, consultants and utility stakeholders.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (e.g., presentation, listening, report writing).
- Good negotiation skills.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Strong team-working skills and ability to manage/produce in a culturally and geographically diverse, multi-company, matrix organization.
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills as an individual and as a project manager.
- Experience in challenging processes, decisions and plans at levels up to senior management.

Experience/Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and/or Business-related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
- MBA graduate preferred.
- 7-10 years of financial management analysis and modeling experience.
Work Environment
- Professional office environment.
- Hybrid working schedule, 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Travel Requirements
- Approximately 20%
Other
- Interact with Service Delivery and Business Development personnel to ensure operational data and related financial information is accurate, timely and precise.
- Interact with other internal groups including Finance, Operations and Human Resources to ensure smooth integration of new business projects.
- Gather, track and analyze financial and operational performance information from key change projects.
- Maintain and enhance price models, performance metrics and reporting mechanisms.
- Monitor key change activities on project plans to ensure timely compliance with key milestones and deliverables.
