Key Accountabilities

  • Gain firsthand experience in how water utilities support communities and ensure sustainability. 
  • Collaborate with professionals to assist with employee communications and strategic activities, supporting internal communications, employee events and change management activities. 
  • Learn how to communicate internally with different audiences through various engagement types. 

Key Tasks: 

  • Support Internal Communications and Change Management staff for strategic projects. 
  • Draft written and visual content for internal employee audiences. 
  • Research and prepare information and reports for internal meetings, events, and presentations. 
  • Organize, prepare, and execute events that support internal projects, including meetings, virtual updates and video. 
  • Assist with measurement of communications and engagement effectiveness.

  • Technical Proficiency: Good working knowledge of computer programs, databases, and software.

Experience/Education

  • Enrollment in a Communications, Public Relations, Change Management, Marketing, or Public Administration undergraduate degree program, or a relevant program from an accredited school. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of completed coursework. 

Other

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Some travel expected (approximately 25% evenings/weekends).
  • Option for a 3-2 hybrid work model to align with manager’s schedule
