Primary Role
Perform all functions within the Admin Services Department. Coordinate the sampling workflow, generate and process lab analysis reports and electronic deliverables (EDD). Project management and point of contact for internal and external commercial customers. Manage utility compliance sample schedule database.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate receiving process for compliance samples to include verification of sample integrity of analysis. Identify issues requiring client notification.
- Manage sample log in process using Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). Coordinate sample kit shipping process. Manage sample kit inventory, bottles and supplies. Oversee sample preservation for analysis within method required holding times.
- Generate and process lab analysis reports. Generate analytical reports and electronic data upload to Federal and/or State regulatory agencies. Identify issues requiring client notifications to include follow up.
- Manage state/federal compliance sample schedule database.
- Provide customer service to internal and external clients. Track sample status, create invoices, and manage aging receivables.
- Manage other related department or facility functions as needed. Coordinate special kit requests and other specific process/procedures defined for clients. Perform additional tasks to ensure lab functionality as required.
Knowledge/Skills
- Ability to work in both team and individual settings effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong quantitative skills (e.g., analytical, technical, problem solving).
- Strong process management skills (e.g., organization, time management, attention to detail).
- Ability to adjust to change as needed to meet the needs of the business (e.g., emergency or rush scenarios that require change of prioritization of daily tasks, adjustments based on updates/changes set by environmental agencies, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity of general administrative services and office operations.
Experience/Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years in a laboratory or industrial environment.
- Experience with data entry and analysis.
- Utility or laboratory experience preferred.
Travel Requirements
Up to 5%, as required.
